David Njoku Powers Up with AWI’s Wireless EMS Bodysuit to Boost Performance

Cleveland Browns tight-end David Njoku is excitedly partnering with Advanced Wearables Inc. (AWI) to use their wireless electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) bodysuit. David, a 2017 first-round draft pick, will wear the AWI Powersuit in a bid to reap the benefits of EMS technology on his in-game performance.

Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) has been used in sports rehabilitation for many years, and as the technology has continued to advance, it's being adopted by top-level athletes to take their performance to the next level.

David, with support from his younger brothers Evidence and Charles, who play for UCLA, will be a pioneer in training with a fully wireless EMS bodysuit. AWI hope that this partnership will spark a new era of elite athletes using EMS to enhance their sporting performance and help the Browns to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Abigail Aboitiz and Nigel Allan, co-founders of Advanced Wearables Inc are thrilled about this new partnership and said, “David’s enthusiasm for the EMS technology and its benefits makes him a perfect partner for AWI in our mission to improve people’s lives.”

David, who has helped the Browns to make a winning 5-2 start to the season, added, “I’m super pumped to be partnering up with the AWI team and using the power of EMS to elevate my training and performances. I believe the AWI Powersuit is a fantastic product that can drive a huge shift in how everyone exercises and hopefully encourage more people to lead a healthy lifestyle. I love that I can train with the Powersuit anytime and anywhere (even when I’m playing PUBG!) and use it to support muscle recovery after a tough game or training session. I’m really excited about getting suited up and helping the team have a successful season with the support of the AWI Powersuit and EMS”

AWI’s dream is that the increased exposure of EMS from this partnership can also initiate a change in how people exercise and encourage a healthier lifestyle across the country.

The benefits of training with a wireless electrical muscle stimulation bodysuit include:

  • Increased muscle growth as both slow-twitch and fast-twitch muscle fibers are engaged quicker and more effectively

  • Achieve the results of a 3-hour workout in just 20 minutes twice weekly

  • Recover faster as EMS contracts the muscles softly to increase blood flow, keep muscles flexible and remove lactic acid

  • Train and recover anywhere and anytime thanks to wireless EMS technology.
